The timing couldn\u2019t have been more fitting. Founded on June 27, 1875, by Friedrich L\u00fcrssen at just 24 years of age, the company has grown from modest beginnings through four generations into a premier shipbuilder. As Deep Blue gracefully entered the waters at L\u00fcrssen\u2019s Bremen facility, the moment represented far more than another successful yacht delivery\u2014it served as a powerful symbol of the German shipyard\u2019s enduring legacy built upon core principles of quality, innovation, and engineering excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

The superyacht\u2019s impressive 9,000 GT volume offers expansive spaces for both relaxation and entertainment. Notable features include multiple pools, with the largest positioned on the lowest aft deck, a state-of-the-art cinema, comprehensive spa and gym, professional beauty salon, and beach club for seamless indoor-outdoor living.<\/span><\/p>\n

Technical Excellence and Innovation<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Deep Blue\u2019s technical specifications reflect L\u00fcrssen\u2019s commitment to performance and reliability. The yacht is powered by eight MTU engines as part of a sophisticated diesel-electric propulsion system, ensuring both power and efficiency. This continues L\u00fcrssen\u2019s tradition of pioneering innovations\u2014from building the world\u2019s first motorboat with Gottlieb Daimler in 1886 to introducing the first energy-efficient hybrid propulsion in 1997 and advanced wastewater treatment systems in 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

With her successful launch complete, Deep Blue will proceed through the final outfitting stages before undergoing comprehensive sea trials in the North Sea. Current schedules point to her expected delivery in Autumn 2025, when she will officially join the elite fleet of large superyachts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since forming its dedicated yacht division in 1988, L\u00fcrssen has built and delivered 70 bespoke yachts with a total length exceeding 6,500 meters. Today, 35 of the top 100 yachts are built by L\u00fcrssen, including the 180.61-meter AZZAM<\/a>, the world\u2019s longest yacht.<\/span><\/p>\n
