The World\u2019s First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Superyacht<\/strong><\/p>\n

BREAKTHROUGH is expected to become the first true hydrogen fuel-cell powered superyacht, paving the way for a cleaner and quieter future at sea. Using cryogenic liquid hydrogen stored at an ultra-cold \u2212253\u00b0C, the yacht\u2019s 3.2 MW fuel cell system will generate energy with zero harmful emissions \u2013 only water.<\/p>\n

In anticipation of her operational debut, BREAKTHROUGH underwent pioneering liquid hydrogen bunkering in the Netherlands earlier this year \u2013 an industry first that required new infrastructure and safety protocols. A biofuel-compatible diesel-electric hybrid system will complement the fuel cells, ensuring extended cruising autonomy and redundancy.<\/p>\n
